Post verses on social media. Faithfully attend church. Serve in different ministries. Know doctrine. Defend sound teaching, and even memorize large portions of Scripture.<\/p><p data-start=\"884\" data-end=\"969\">And yet, there is a question every believer should ask themselves honestly:<\/p><p data-start=\"971\" data-end=\"1052\"><strong data-start=\"971\" data-end=\"1052\">Am I growing in godliness, or am I simply perfecting a religious routine?<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"1054\" data-end=\"1097\">When the apostle Paul wrote to Timothy:<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"1099\" data-end=\"1193\"><p data-start=\"1101\" data-end=\"1193\"><em data-start=\"1101\" data-end=\"1173\">\u00abReject profane and old wives\u2019 tales. Exercise yourself for godliness.\u00bb<\/em><br \/><em data-start=\"1176\" data-end=\"1193\">(1 Timothy 4:7)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"1195\" data-end=\"1521\">he was not inviting him to practice more religious ceremonies. Nor was he simply talking about feeling compassion for those who suffer. Paul used a word that describes an entire way of living before God: a life marked by reverence, fellowship, obedience, and the constant desire to please Jesus Christ.<\/p><p data-start=\"1523\" data-end=\"1763\">Today, many know the language of Christianity, but few understand the true meaning of biblical godliness. And perhaps that is one of the reasons there is so much religious activity, but so little spiritual transformation.<\/p><hr data-start=\"1765\" data-end=\"1768\" \/><h2 data-section-id=\"sykcj0\" data-start=\"1770\" data-end=\"1817\">What does the word \u00abgodliness\u00bb really mean?<\/h2><p data-start=\"1819\" data-end=\"1871\">The word Paul used is the Greek term:<\/p><p data-start=\"1873\" data-end=\"1896\"><strong data-start=\"1873\" data-end=\"1896\">\u03b5\u1f50\u03c3\u03ad\u03b2\u03b5\u03b9\u03b1 (eusebeia)<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"1898\" data-end=\"1928\">It is formed from two words:<\/p><p data-start=\"1930\" data-end=\"1941\"><strong data-start=\"1930\" data-end=\"1941\">\u03b5\u1f56 (eu)<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"1943\" data-end=\"1957\">Which means:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1959\" data-end=\"1985\"><li data-section-id=\"16d93i3\" data-start=\"1959\" data-end=\"1966\">good<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1x2ue49\" data-start=\"1967\" data-end=\"1977\">right<\/li><li data-section-id=\"16o7lbb\" data-start=\"1978\" data-end=\"1985\">upright<\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1987\" data-end=\"1988\">and<\/p><p data-start=\"1990\" data-end=\"2011\"><strong data-start=\"1990\" data-end=\"2011\">\u03c3\u03ad\u03b2\u03bf\u03bc\u03b1\u03b9 (sebomai)<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"2013\" data-end=\"2027\">Which means:<\/p><ul data-start=\"2029\" data-end=\"2088\"><li data-section-id=\"1fygylo\" data-start=\"2029\" data-end=\"2042\">to revere<\/li><li data-section-id=\"17upebn\" data-start=\"2043\" data-end=\"2051\">to worship<\/li><li data-section-id=\"paz6b5\" data-start=\"2052\" data-end=\"2061\">to venerate<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1255swt\" data-start=\"2062\" data-end=\"2088\">to show deep respect<\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2090\" data-end=\"2176\">Together, they describe a person whose life is completely oriented toward honoring God.<\/p><p data-start=\"2178\" data-end=\"2219\">It is not simply about believing in God.<\/p><p data-start=\"2221\" data-end=\"2267\">It is not merely about attending church.<\/p><p data-start=\"2269\" data-end=\"2309\">Much less is it about appearing spiritual.<\/p><p data-start=\"2311\" data-end=\"2359\">The <strong data-start=\"2314\" data-end=\"2326\">eusebeia<\/strong> is a life centered on God.<\/p><p data-start=\"2361\" data-end=\"2385\">We could define it this way:<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"2387\" data-end=\"2565\"><p data-start=\"2389\" data-end=\"2565\"><strong data-start=\"2389\" data-end=\"2565\">Godliness is living each day with a deep reverence for God, allowing that relationship to transform our character, our decisions, and the way we live.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote><hr data-start=\"2567\" data-end=\"2570\" \/><h2 data-section-id=\"1pcr7b3\" data-start=\"2572\" data-end=\"2600\">Much More Than Mercy<\/h2><p data-start=\"2602\" data-end=\"2692\">In our language, we usually associate the word \u00abgodliness\u00bb with feeling compassion for someone.<\/p><p data-start=\"2694\" data-end=\"2837\">Although that idea appears in other biblical passages through different words, <strong data-start=\"2774\" data-end=\"2837\">that is not Paul\u2019s primary intention in 1 Timothy 4:7.<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"2839\" data-end=\"2910\">Here, godliness has to do with a life completely surrendered to God.<\/p><p data-start=\"2912\" data-end=\"2937\">It is practical devotion.<\/p><p data-start=\"2939\" data-end=\"2991\">A reverence reflected in our daily conduct.<\/p><p data-start=\"2993\" data-end=\"3016\">It is not merely about feeling.<\/p><p data-start=\"3018\" data-end=\"3027\">It is about living.<\/p><hr data-start=\"3029\" data-end=\"3032\" \/><h2 data-section-id=\"1e4e0e2\" data-start=\"3034\" data-end=\"3073\">The Difference Between Religion and Godliness<\/h2><p data-start=\"3075\" data-end=\"3114\">Here we find an enormous difference.<\/p><p data-start=\"3116\" data-end=\"3155\">Religion can teach us what to do.<\/p><p data-start=\"3157\" data-end=\"3192\"><em>Godliness transforms who we are.<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"3194\" data-end=\"3229\">Religion can produce habits.<\/p><p data-start=\"3231\" data-end=\"3268\"><em>Godliness produces Christlikeness.<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"3270\" data-end=\"3306\">Religion can fill a schedule.<\/p><p data-start=\"3308\" data-end=\"3345\"><em>Godliness fills the heart with Christ.<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"3347\" data-end=\"3375\">A religious person may:<\/p><ul data-start=\"3377\" data-end=\"3497\"><li data-section-id=\"19sl66s\" data-start=\"3377\" data-end=\"3406\">attend every church service;<\/li><li data-section-id=\"jv3xwu\" data-start=\"3407\" data-end=\"3432\">know a great deal of theology;<\/li><li data-section-id=\"11gxnbb\" data-start=\"3433\" data-end=\"3464\">serve in several ministries;<\/li><li data-section-id=\"vn5d3i\" data-start=\"3465\" data-end=\"3497\">constantly talk about God.<\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"3499\" data-end=\"3551\">And still live far from intimate fellowship with Him.<\/p><p data-start=\"3553\" data-end=\"3595\">Because godliness does not begin with the hands.<\/p><p data-start=\"3597\" data-end=\"3620\">It begins in the heart.<\/p><hr \/><h2 class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-section-id=\"o3i0qc\" data-start=\"3627\" data-end=\"3641\">\u00abTrain Yourself\u00bb<\/h2><p data-start=\"3643\" data-end=\"3690\">Here Paul uses another extraordinary word.<\/p><p data-start=\"3692\" data-end=\"3713\"><strong data-start=\"3692\" data-end=\"3713\">\u03b3\u03cd\u03bc\u03bd\u03b1\u03b6\u03b5 (gymnaze)<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"3715\" data-end=\"3749\">From which our word comes:<\/p><p data-start=\"3751\" data-end=\"3764\"><strong data-start=\"3751\" data-end=\"3763\">gymnasium<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"3766\" data-end=\"3799\">Paul is literally saying:<\/p><p data-start=\"3801\" data-end=\"3858\"><strong data-start=\"3801\" data-end=\"3858\">Train your life to become more and more like Christ.<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"3860\" data-end=\"4016\">Just as an athlete develops muscles through constant discipline, the believer develops godliness by remaining in the Lord\u2019s presence each day.<\/p><p data-start=\"4018\" data-end=\"4056\">Godliness never happens by accident.<\/p><p data-start=\"4058\" data-end=\"4069\">It is cultivated.<\/p><h2 class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-section-id=\"1l9l72k\" data-start=\"4076\" data-end=\"4112\">Godliness: The Christian\u2019s Accent<\/h2><p data-start=\"4114\" data-end=\"4158\">Let me illustrate it in a simple way.<\/p><p data-start=\"4160\" data-end=\"4189\">We can all speak Spanish.<\/p><p data-start=\"4191\" data-end=\"4321\">However, it only takes a few words to recognize who is Puerto Rican, Mexican, Colombian, Argentinian, or Spanish.<\/p><p data-start=\"4323\" data-end=\"4332\">Why?<\/p><p data-start=\"4334\" data-end=\"4405\">Because our accent reveals who we have spent our entire lives with.<\/p><p data-start=\"4407\" data-end=\"4439\">The same applies to the believer.<\/p><p data-start=\"4441\" data-end=\"4493\">Many can learn the language of Christianity.<\/p><p data-start=\"4495\" data-end=\"4508\">They can say:<\/p><p data-start=\"4510\" data-end=\"4528\">\u00abGod bless you.\u00bb<\/p><p data-start=\"4530\" data-end=\"4546\">\u00abGlory to God.\u00bb<\/p><p data-start=\"4548\" data-end=\"4558\">\u00abHallelujah.\u00bb<\/p><p data-start=\"4560\" data-end=\"4606\">They can quote verses and know the doctrine.<\/p><p data-start=\"4608\" data-end=\"4664\">But there is something that cannot be faked for long.<\/p><p data-start=\"4666\" data-end=\"4687\"><em>The spiritual accent.<\/em><\/p><p data-start=\"4689\" data-end=\"4735\">True godliness is the believer\u2019s accent.<\/p><p data-start=\"4737\" data-end=\"4807\">It is what reveals that a person has spent time with Jesus Christ.<\/p><p data-start=\"4809\" data-end=\"4840\">You can notice it in the way they speak.<\/p><p data-start=\"4842\" data-end=\"4860\">In their reactions.<\/p><p data-start=\"4862\" data-end=\"4878\">In their patience.<\/p><p data-start=\"4880\" data-end=\"4895\">In their humility.<\/p><p data-start=\"4897\" data-end=\"4920\">In the way they love.<\/p><p data-start=\"4922\" data-end=\"4938\">In how they forgive.<\/p><p data-start=\"4940\" data-end=\"4969\">In how they face trials.<\/p><p data-start=\"4971\" data-end=\"4998\">In how they treat their family.<\/p><p data-start=\"5000\" data-end=\"5049\">In how they respond when no one is watching.<\/p><p data-start=\"5051\" data-end=\"5080\">Religion teaches the language.<\/p><p data-start=\"5082\" data-end=\"5110\">Godliness produces the accent.<\/p><p data-start=\"5112\" data-end=\"5197\">That is why, when Peter and John appeared before the council, the authorities said:<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"5199\" data-end=\"5265\"><p data-start=\"5201\" data-end=\"5265\"><em data-start=\"5201\" data-end=\"5251\">\u00ab&#8230;they recognized that they had been with Jesus.\u00bb<\/em> (Acts 4:13)<\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"5267\" data-end=\"5298\">That was their \u00abspiritual accent\u00bb.<\/p><p data-start=\"5300\" data-end=\"5331\">It was not merely what they said.<\/p><p data-start=\"5333\" data-end=\"5349\">It was who they were.<\/p><hr \/><h2 class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-section-id=\"guae7o\" data-start=\"5356\" data-end=\"5400\">Men whose lives reflected true godliness<\/h2><h3 data-section-id=\"1xvygzm\" data-start=\"5402\" data-end=\"5409\">Enoch<\/h3><p data-start=\"5411\" data-end=\"5471\">He was not famous for building cities or conquering nations.<\/p><p data-start=\"5473\" data-end=\"5535\">Scripture summarizes his entire life with an extraordinary phrase:<\/p><p data-start=\"5537\" data-end=\"5564\"><strong data-start=\"5537\" data-end=\"5564\">\u00abEnoch walked with God.\u00bb Genesis 5:24<\/strong><\/p><p data-start=\"5566\" data-end=\"5580\">That is godliness.<\/p><hr data-start=\"5582\" data-end=\"5585\" \/><h3 data-section-id=\"1xw4xmi\" data-start=\"5587\" data-end=\"5594\">Joseph<\/h3><p data-start=\"5596\" data-end=\"5623\">When no one could see him&#8230;<\/p><p data-start=\"5625\" data-end=\"5638\">he refused to sin.<\/p><p data-start=\"5640\" data-end=\"5677\">His greatest concern was not Potiphar.<\/p><p data-start=\"5679\" data-end=\"5689\">Nor Egypt.<\/p><p data-start=\"5691\" data-end=\"5708\">Nor his reputation.<\/p><p data-start=\"5710\" data-end=\"5719\">It was God.<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"5721\" data-end=\"5778\"><p data-start=\"5723\" data-end=\"5778\">\u00abHow could I do such a great evil and sin against God?\u00bb Genesis 39:9<\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"5780\" data-end=\"5821\">Godliness always thinks of God first.<\/p><hr data-start=\"5823\" data-end=\"5826\" \/><h3 data-section-id=\"wov5im\" data-start=\"5828\" data-end=\"5837\">Daniel<\/h3><p data-start=\"5839\" data-end=\"5873\">When prayer was prohibited&#8230;<\/p><p data-start=\"5875\" data-end=\"5891\">he continued to pray.<\/p><p data-start=\"5893\" data-end=\"5909\">Not out of rebellion.<\/p><p data-start=\"5911\" data-end=\"5987\">But because his fellowship with God was more important than his own safety.<\/p><hr data-start=\"5989\" data-end=\"5992\" \/><h3 data-section-id=\"1uihryp\" data-start=\"5994\" data-end=\"6005\">Nehemiah<\/h3><p data-start=\"6007\" data-end=\"6040\">Before rebuilding the walls&#8230;<\/p><p data-start=\"6042\" data-end=\"6048\">he wept.<\/p><p data-start=\"6050\" data-end=\"6056\">He fasted.<\/p><p data-start=\"6058\" data-end=\"6066\">He confessed.<\/p><p data-start=\"6068\" data-end=\"6074\">He worshiped.<\/p><p data-start=\"6076\" data-end=\"6114\">His priority was never the stones.<\/p><p data-start=\"6116\" data-end=\"6125\">It was God.<\/p><hr data-start=\"6127\" data-end=\"6130\" \/><h3 data-section-id=\"1en65x8\" data-start=\"6132\" data-end=\"6145\">Jesus Christ<\/h3><p data-start=\"6147\" data-end=\"6180\">The supreme expression of godliness.<\/p><p data-start=\"6182\" data-end=\"6241\">His entire life revolved around doing the Father\u2019s will.<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"6243\" data-end=\"6300\"><p data-start=\"6245\" data-end=\"6300\">\u00abMy food is to do the will of Him who sent me&#8230;\u00bb John 4:34<\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"6302\" data-end=\"6346\">Godliness finds its perfection in Christ.<\/p><hr data-start=\"6348\" data-end=\"6351\" \/><h2 data-section-id=\"debu7j\" data-start=\"6353\" data-end=\"6370\">False godliness<\/h2><p data-start=\"6372\" data-end=\"6406\">Paul also warns about it.<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"6408\" data-end=\"6491\"><p data-start=\"6410\" data-end=\"6491\">\u201cThey will have an appearance of godliness, but deny its power.\u201d (2 Timothy 3:5)<\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"6493\" data-end=\"6527\">It is possible to appear very spiritual.<\/p><p data-start=\"6529\" data-end=\"6546\">And yet&#8230;<\/p><p data-start=\"6548\" data-end=\"6568\">to live far from God.<\/p><p data-start=\"6570\" data-end=\"6613\">Appearance can deceive people.<\/p><p data-start=\"6615\" data-end=\"6644\">But it will never deceive the Lord.<\/p><h2 class=\"PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer\" data-section-id=\"etehfm\" data-start=\"6651\" data-end=\"6680\">How is godliness cultivated?<\/h2><p data-start=\"6682\" data-end=\"6701\">Not through rules.<\/p><p data-start=\"6703\" data-end=\"6732\">But by abiding in Christ.<\/p><ul data-start=\"6734\" data-end=\"6868\"><li data-section-id=\"1hc19m5\" data-start=\"6734\" data-end=\"6744\">Prayer.<\/li><li data-section-id=\"nsuirq\" data-start=\"6745\" data-end=\"6758\">The Word.<\/li><li data-section-id=\"iwlf0b\" data-start=\"6759\" data-end=\"6786\">Continual repentance.<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1xlrqpv\" data-start=\"6787\" data-end=\"6800\">Obedience.<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1s8n40z\" data-start=\"6801\" data-end=\"6834\">Dependence on the Holy Spirit.<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1389o05\" data-start=\"6835\" data-end=\"6868\">Daily fellowship with Jesus Christ.<\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"6870\" data-end=\"6921\">Godliness does not consist of doing more things for God.<\/p><p data-start=\"6923\" data-end=\"6961\">It consists of walking closer to God.<\/p><p data-start=\"6963\" data-end=\"7001\">The longer we abide in Christ&#8230;<\/p><p data-start=\"7003\" data-end=\"7051\">the more His character begins to appear in us.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a999703 animated-slow elementor-invisible elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a999703\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" center;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">\u00abSearch me, O God, and know my heart&#8230; and lead me in the way everlasting.\u00bb<\/span><\/p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: data-end=\"828\">Godliness cannot remain hidden for long. Although it is born in the heart, it eventually manifests itself in life. The Bible shows us several illustrations that describe how a person who has remained in God's presence begins to reflect the character of Christ.<\/p><h2 data-section-id=\"1bx6cmr\" data-start=\"830\" data-end=\"871\">1. <span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"284\" data-end=\"323\">Godliness Has the Accent of Christ<\/strong><\/span><\/h2><p data-start=\"325\" data-end=\"476\">As we saw earlier, true godliness is not limited to a series of religious practices; rather, it transforms life from the inside out.<\/p><p data-start=\"478\" data-end=\"712\">We can all learn the language of Christianity. We can know the doctrine, memorize verses, and participate in church activities. But there is something that cannot be faked for long: the <strong data-start=\"688\" data-end=\"711\">\u00abspiritual accent\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"714\" data-end=\"863\">Just as an accent reveals the country where a person has lived and the people they have spent time with, godliness reveals that someone has spent time with Jesus Christ.<\/p><p data-start=\"865\" data-end=\"973\">That is why, when Peter and John appeared before the council, the religious leaders were amazed and said:<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"975\" data-end=\"1041\"><p data-start=\"977\" data-end=\"1041\"><em data-start=\"977\" data-end=\"1027\">\u00ab&#8230;they recognized that they had been with Jesus.\u00bb<\/em> (Acts 4:13)<\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"1043\" data-end=\"1244\">It was not only because of the eloquence of their words or the knowledge they demonstrated. There was something in the way they spoke, responded, and lived that revealed a deep fellowship with Christ.<\/p><p data-start=\"1246\" data-end=\"1367\"><strong data-start=\"1246\" data-end=\"1367\">Religion can teach us the language of Christianity; godliness gives our lives the accent of Christ.<\/strong><\/p><hr data-start=\"1637\" data-end=\"1640\" \/><h2 data-section-id=\"a42nzv\" data-start=\"1642\" data-end=\"1686\">2. Mercy gives off the fragrance of Christ<\/h2><p data-start=\"1688\" data-end=\"1714\">The apostle Paul wrote:<\/p><blockquote data-start=\"1716\" data-end=\"1787\"><p data-start=\"1718\" data-end=\"1787\"><em data-start=\"1718\" data-end=\"1768\">\u00abFor we are a pleasing aroma of Christ to God&#8230;\u00bb<\/em> (2 Corinthians 2:15)<\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"1789\" data-end=\"1826\">Aroma is silent evidence.<\/p><p data-start=\"1828\" data-end=\"1851\">It does not need to announce itself.<\/p><p data-start=\"1853\" data-end=\"1876\">It is simply perceived.<\/p><p data-start=\"1878\" data-end=\"2118\">Someone who works with wood for years usually carries the smell of wood with them. A mechanic retains the aroma of the workshop. In the same way, whoever remains daily in the presence of Christ begins to carry with them the \u00abaroma\u00bb of Christ.<\/p><p data-start=\"2120\" data-end=\"2133\">His patience.<\/p><p data-start=\"2135\" data-end=\"2147\">His humility.<\/p><p data-start=\"2149\" data-end=\"2157\">His love.<\/p><p data-start=\"2159\" data-end=\"2181\">His way of forgiving.<\/p><p data-start=\"2183\" data-end=\"2222\">His way of responding to adversity.<\/p><p data-start=\"2224\" data-end=\"2271\">Everything begins to reflect the character of the Lord.<\/p><p data-start=\"2273\" data-end=\"2347\">Godliness causes Christ to be perceived before we open our mouths.<\/p><hr data-start=\"2349\" data-end=\"2352\" \/><h2 data-section-id=\"3f3pdw\" data-start=\"2354\" data-end=\"2394\">3. Godliness Reflects the Light of Christ<\/h2><p data-start=\"2396\" data-end=\"2484\">After remaining forty days in the presence of God, Moses came down from the mountain.<\/p><p data-start=\"2486\" data-end=\"2505\">Without realizing it&#8230;<\/p><blockquote><p data-start=\"2507\" data-end=\"2530\">the skin of his face was radiant after he had spoken with God. (Exodus 34:29)<\/p><\/blockquote><p data-start=\"2547\" data-end=\"2573\">It was not a human effort.<\/p><p data-start=\"2575\" data-end=\"2634\">It was the natural result of having been before the Lord.<\/p><p data-start=\"2636\" data-end=\"2863\">In the same way, the believer who cultivates godliness begins to reflect the character of Christ. Perhaps not with a visible radiance on their face, as happened with Moses, but with an evident transformation in the way they live.<\/p><p data-start=\"2865\" data-end=\"2914\">Each day, they become a little less like the old self.<\/p><p data-start=\"2916\" data-end=\"2943\">And a little more like Jesus Christ.<\/p><hr data-start=\"2945\" data-end=\"2948\" \/><h2 data-section-id=\"a4akqs\" data-start=\"2950\" data-end=\"2969\">One Truth<\/h2><p data-start=\"2971\" data-end=\"3024\">These three illustrations describe a single reality.<\/p><p data-start=\"3026\" data-end=\"3080\">Godliness leaves evidence that the world can perceive.<\/p><p data-start=\"3082\" data-end=\"3112\">It has the <strong data-start=\"3091\" data-end=\"3101\">accent<\/strong> of Christ.<\/p><p data-start=\"3114\" data-end=\"3147\">It gives off the <strong data-start=\"3127\" data-end=\"3136\">aroma<\/strong> of Christ.<\/p><p data-start=\"3149\" data-end=\"3178\">It reflects the <strong data-start=\"3160\" data-end=\"3167\">light<\/strong> of Christ.<\/p><p data-start=\"3180\" data-end=\"3222\">Not because the believer tries to appear that way.<\/p><p data-start=\"3224\" data-end=\"3258\">But because they have remained with Him.<\/p><hr data-start=\"7053\" data-end=\"7056\" \/><h2 data-section-id=\"l6c8gw\" data-start=\"7058\" data-end=\"7077\">Final Exhortation<\/h2><p data-start=\"7079\" data-end=\"7311\">We live in an era when Christianity runs the risk of becoming a routine. We can fill our days with spiritual activities and still neglect what God desires most: a living and deep relationship with Him.<\/p><p data-start=\"7313\" data-end=\"7571\">Perhaps today we don't need to add another meeting, another book, or a new activity to our schedule. Perhaps what we need is to return to the secret place, where the voice of Christ silently transforms our hearts.
