See the “Full Picture”: From Google Earth to God’s Revelation

Are you ready to see life from God's complete perspective?
Start today by reading His Word… and allow Him to transform the way you see everything.

Introduction

There are times in life when we think we understand everything… until we see the bigger picture. Just as tools like Google Earth allow us to observe the world from a broader perspective, the Bible reveals an even deeper truth: how God sees our lives, our purpose, and our eternal destiny.

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” — John 8:32

Have you ever used Google Earth? It's an extraordinary tool for viewing the entire planet Earth, with an impressive level of detail.

When you start exploring the globe, you discover places you've never even heard of. Amazingly, everything you thought you knew about geography falls short, and it even makes you realize you might never have paid enough attention in class.

But seriously, it's not the same thing. to know something about a place or country from a limited point of view, which involves observing the whole panorama from above and connecting one important point to another.

Your knowledge of continents, countries, capitals, and cities expands. Everything starts to make sense: geopolitics, geology, geometry, aviation, cultures, and even travel planning.

And if you spend enough time exploring, you'll soon become almost an expert on the planet. When someone mentions a related topic, you speak with knowledge and authority.

The Same Happens with the Bible

The same thing happens when you begin to read God’s Word.

The Scriptures were inspired by the Holy Spirit to reveal to us who God is:
His creative work, His dealings with man, His love, His mercy, His grace, and His power.

“All Scripture is inspired by God…”
—2 Timothy 3:16

In the Bible, we also come to know Jesus Christ:
His divinity, His redemptive work, and His role as the Son of God who became man.

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…”
— John 1:14

We begin to understand God’s plan of salvation for humanity and experience a love that goes beyond our understanding.

“…the love of Christ, which surpasses all knowledge…”
— Ephesians 3:19

When we make the effort to read the Bible, we begin to experience something very similar to what we feel when exploring Google Earth…

But on a much deeper level:
A spiritual awakening.

Knowing about God vs. Knowing God

Where am I going with all this?

It's not the same to believe they know God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit without truly going deeper into the Scriptures…
as it is to actually know Him through personal experience.

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
— John 8:32

It's not the same as someone telling you about it…
as when you experience it for yourself.

It’s like blinders are removed from your mind and your heart.

“Then their understanding was opened…”
— Luke 24:45

A change of perspective

I always remember how I used to see evangelicals as fanatics… even “crazy”—the well-known “hallelujah people” from the 70s and 80s.

That’s how I saw them because my perspective was limited—shaped by family tradition, what I was taught growing up, and what I heard around me.

But the day I encountered the truth about Christ…
and said yes to that truth…

Everything changed.

I no longer saw the Gospel from a narrow point of view.
Now I could see the “Big Picture”God’s plan of salvation.

“But when they turn to the Lord, the veil will be removed.”
— 2 Corinthians 3:16

I began to read the Bible…
And it was as if scales fell from my eyes.

“…and at once something like scales fell from his eyes…”
— Acts 9:18

And the understanding of Christ’s love…
and the knowledge of salvation…

began to transform my life.

A real encounter

Truly…
I fell in love with Jesus.

I’m not saying the journey has been easy,
or that it has been a path without struggles…

But it has been a path of faith and hope.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:7

A Personal Invitation

So with all this, I want to tell you something:

Give Jesus a chance to deal with you personally.

Don’t settle for what others say.
Don’t stay in a limited perspective.

Start reading the Bible.
Let God Himself show you His truth.

“Call to me, and I will answer you…”
— Jeremiah 33:3

Begin to see life from God’s perspective—
His promises, His purpose, and His eternal plan.

Because God loves us…
And he doesn't want us to walk blindly through this world.

“For God so loved the world…”
— John 3:16

Final foundation

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
— Proverbs 1:7

“Search the Scriptures…”
— John 5:39

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Psalm 119:105

Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
forever and ever.
Amen and Amen.

Psalm 41:13

We are living in times that Jesus described. Wars, international tensions, persecution of believers, and spiritual confusion are shaking the world. Jesus Christ called these signs “the beginning of sorrows.”
